Our Story
Two young doctors Dr. Sushanto Mukherjee and Dr. Sujata Mukherjee started their medical career with a small clinic in the locality of Patna.
During their general practice of medicine, they came across thousands of patients who were being harassed due to unethical practices and misdiagnosis in Diagnostic Laboratories. It was surprising for them to find that there was inconsistency in the test reports of the patients done on the same day by different diagnostic centers. It was hard for them to diagnose patients with bizarre reports. Previously, they had faced the same problem in their family during their medical college days.
Dr. Sushanto Mukherjee lost his father due to delay in diagnosis from a dreaded disease called Brain cancer. These incidents had a severe impact on their young minds. With a concept of revolutionizing the field of Pathology and Microbiology in Patna and to ensure that others would not face the same problem they had faced in their lives, Gitanjali Patho Diagnostics was founded on 5th November 1995.
